2014 Barley Yields

kWs glacier at 12.5 moister cut today. The sample is not too special though. Also have cassia not quite ready yet.

Volume coming off at 17% and 65 this lunchtime.
It's been 8 days since we dessicated. It's the wheat volunteers that are holding the moisture up I think!

Well its down to 15.5 now so hopefully not!

First field was 9 acres and its done 3.4t/ac over the weighbridge. Next field is 23 acres and will hopefully hit 3.5t/ac. Bushel weights are a bit erratic though, anywhere between 60-65.

Cut some Florentine barley for a neighbour today,2.25t/acre of a thin sample,very early for round here,not sure what went wrong with it.

Started my Florentine barley today. 13.5% moisture 67 kg /ha specific weight about 7.2 t/ha on the uncalibrated combine weigher. Breakdown stopped play.

Anyone grow California wb this year? Been offered a seed contract along with Glacier or Cassia. California looks useful on paper but hasn't been mentioned on TFF.
