3m Horsch Versadrill copy for sale

3m Horsch DSD3 drill for sale.
Same as Horsch Pronto but used to have a Sampo type tiller, this has been replaced by a Vaderstad system disc setup.
We have put a frame in the front that takes 5 Simba LD legs. Tungsten tipped points have done 200 acres and wings have done 80 acres.
The bout markers are the same as the new type Vaderstad discs (new this year)
RDS control box not electric drive.
Pre em markers.
Drilling discs are as new and the packer wheels show no cuts or damage.
Hopper takes 1.5 tonnes.
Tyre packer is in good order, tyres are all good with no major damage.
Without tines in we have pulled it with a JD 6420 and usually use a Case CVX 180 with the legs in.

Here are 2 links for YouTube videos. The drill is not available with the liquid fert system.

Pictures can also be e-mailed on request. Call 07966163639 for more info or e-mail [email protected] with a request for pictures.

Am after £11750.

Forgot to mention that the metering system (accord) is brand new this year. There are 4 return to tank shut offs for tramlining. There are also pipe joiners to enable wide row spacing when drilling osr, one coulter either side of each leg so 5 paired rows.

May I ask why you are selling this?!
I remember the thread about you building it - seems a lot of work to then sell it?!

Are moving onto a different drill that more suits our current farming system. The drill works well but I need a more versatile drill to cope with min till , ploughing and challenging conditions after potatoes. We have therefore bought a combi drill and need to sell the horsch to help pay for it

Can you alter the depth on the front legs and cultivation disc independently of each other and the rest of the drill, or is it all fixed in relation?

All elements adjust independently. The legs have 8 positions adjusted using pins in the chassis. The discs are adjusted hydraulically. The drilling depth is adjusted by the packer roller. The levelling board is adjusted using a threaded adjuster.

There are 5 legs in 3 m so spacing is 60 cm. We ran the legs at about 8 inches deep (surface to point) and all the soil was moved across the working width. The maximum working depth would be approximately 14 inches.

Do the five legs move all the soil across the width? How deep will they go? How far apart are they? Thanks

The legs could be run with no wings thus the disturbance would be restricted and the machine be easier to pull. This would be OK for OSR but would perhaps not suit other crops. The pictures above were taken today, this was drilled at 2.8 kg/ha with 30 kg of N applied at drilling via the chafer liquid applicator. Was straight into spring wheat stubble, the straw was baled. Has had 3.3 kg/ha of slug pellets (carakol) with the pre em.

Hi md, looks a very professional job. Have you used the drill for wheat as well this year, does it cope with going straight into rape stubble ok?

We have not had field conditions suitable to be honest. Have had to plough or deep tine cultivate to get rid of rubbish and alleviate rutting etc.

Would say that a first pass would be needed with a carrier or other shallow cultivator to get some tilth. It depends on soil type but the Vaderstad system disc are not that aggressive so don't tend to do a lot of mixing, would say a straw rake in front or a carrier would be good. But it depends on conditions and chopped straw burden. The coulters on the back do require tilth for accurate depth and seed cover behind. As a standalone drill we have drilled wheat with it and have been very impressed. Give me a call on 07966163639.
