I'm going to need to change the office PC in the near future. Having become a "slave" to Apple products and their seamless integration I'm considering changing the desktop from a PC to a Mac. However, some of my software needs a windows platform (Farmplan). Is there anyone on here here who is partitioning their Mac with BootCamp and sucessfully running Farmplan Business Manager and Cattle Manager? Any advice/help much appreciated.

I use apple computers for some years now. Up to some years ago i had parallels installed. But the nice and smooth integration i was used from the mac turned to get more complicated, starting with printers, networks etc.
I then bought an used ibm lenovo laptop, as most farming software doesn't require an up to date computer this is works really well.
So i have a special computer for my farming programs, which doesn't connect to the internet too often and then just on the support websites, which i can carry around with me all day and a mac for office and internet.

Run Windows 7 64bit with IRIS payroll software and Gatekeeper with no problems at all.

Give it enough RAM though!
