Crime commissioner here, I won't bother. I did email him in the past, complete waste time, so not bothering. Why have a crime commissioner, when they basically get £63 000 a year for doing not a great deal, what we need is Sherif's who set the agenda for the local Police, if the Police concentrate on on people being offended by social media and don't so stop and search for knife crime or follow up on burglaries then they should get voted out, in my opinion.

If PCC's had the ability to fire chief constables for poor performance they might have a reasonable raison d'être, but as they don't they're just another bunch of useless meatsacks that the taxpayer is forced to pay for.

Agreed, but I went anyway and spoiled my paper as part of my civic duty. :angelic:

Police commissioner. Seems an awful lot of money spent for very little. Maybe a low turnout will send a bigger message than actually voting.

My mate works in Starbucks. People now come in and help themselves to bags of stuff without paying. Called the police and they only asked if the robber had been assaulted. No he hadnt been assaulted so they wouldn’t attend. This is the reality nowadays. What does the Police Commissioner do about it? Nothing. What’s the point? What’s the point of voting when they are all the same useless ineffectual political placemen only ever heard about at election time?
