I'm looking at converting some redundant stone barns into dwellings.
I'm in England. The barns would almost certainly be sold, or, unlikely (but not impossible) I will keep and rent them out. Also possible but not likely, that we keep one for ourselves in retirement.
My questions are, would this be part of my farm business or would it be separate?
And can I claim back VAT on purchased materials?
