I dont see what this has to do with the bbc if the girls parents thought something criminal had taken place they should have gone to the police, its nothing to do with the blokes employer unless it brings them into disrepute and that can only occur after a police investigation not before it. and as for the Sun, I simply cant understand why any one would buy it, easy to see where the term gutter press comes from.

Astonished, but looking at some photographs on the BBC's own news website, he does bear some similarity ti Phillip Schofield...

- do we have to put up with this non story that the BBC and the UK MSM have become obsessed with!

I do wonder why you even post this stuff.

Am I supposed to think you don't have an off button, channel switch or are somehow forced, tied into a chair, eyes propped open by match sticks ?

There is no we & there is no "put up".

I wish we didn't have this false wet knickered emo diatribe all the time ....

Really?

The bloke's done nothing illegal. Distasteful perhaps, but not illegal. He's in hospital with mental health issues having battled with depression for some time, and been subjected to a trial by media, with social media posts coming out with shite like above.

Several men not girls

The parents contacted the Police & the BBC

The money was being used for drugs - crack cocaine

I see sympathy being touted for the Rich Old Man with Experience & Power but nothing for the kid who's without a doubt naive.

Get out of jail free card

Let's the old geezer off the hook with the "Mental illness" card if he was doing anything illegal

He was competant enough to do the Royal coverage - I couldn't dream of doing Royal coverage & I wouldn't dream up this mental health rubbish either - he's got a lot of people helping him

My understanding is the kid was 17 years old so practically an adult, she has also said via her solicitor that none of the story the sun printed is true.

Well patently that is not true is it ?

I haven't read The Sun story, as I understand it the question is did Huw have an affair with someone below 18 & share sexual photos. If so he commited a crime.

I don't know if The Sun printed words to that effect, but I don't really care either.

Nobody has alleged that he had an affair with anyone.

which law has he broken ? there is no law forbidding an affair with a 17 year old and if she sent the photos then surely it was she who broke the law, but as has been said elsewhere the Sun was happy to publish photos of naked 16 year old girls for years, couldn't be bigger hypocrites if they tried.
