Bearing cap removal

Any tips on how to remove this bearing cap. Have tried chisels punches and screwdrivers

So you want to get at the split pin....

its threaded ? if it is just put a big adjustable or stilson on it .....or just put them on it anyway....with a piece of pipe on the end and swing on it ...might twist. off ....

Roc axles have threaded caps....little bit of heat on that and some stilsons or preferably the right spanner/socket should get it apart...

Right I will admit to being wrong, yes it was threaded. It was sort of rocking slightly so I just assumed it wasn't. Anyway drum off, new shoes, adjusted up, proper.
Mower blades, yes dairy farmers adjustable chisel and no splitpin just this fancy clip. Thanks for help

Think the suggestion was to weld up a spanner, not stick it with slag

Did the job, plus I still class the four bits of metal as 'good' so easy to reuse

Genius, you used the box section as the sides of the spanner .....................
Probably wasn't that tight with the right size
