I bought some from them a few weeks ago. Much better than the flimsy metal things Lishman sell.

The difference between cooling & drying is a lot of extra air flow is needed for drying.

We bought some a few weeks ago and don't like them. Stand them in position and pour some grain around them to secure them then start filling the store. Every time we put the 2nd extension on they bend forwards due to the slope of the grain. We though about bolting them complete to begin with but that then hinders the loading of the store with a grain pusher massively but also with a bucket.

Our old lishman's though just stand up straight.

I was considering making a drying tunnel to fit onto an old lister emu fan I have. I was then going to fix the pipes to the tunnel for drying or cooling grain or in my case grass seed. I think it could make a very cheap drying setup.

Im absolutly fed up with peds storing 4m high pushing with grain dozer makes life dificult cant keep the plastic pipes straight.
Does anyone use 600mm twin wall horizontal with a bigger fan for cooling.
My store is 24m wide,if so what spacing would they need to be.

I store osr/barley with 2 450mm twin wall pipes down a 18m wide shed storing 6-7metres deep just cooling not drying single phase fans not had a problem YET

Under floor ducts with perforated lid by far the most efficient way of cooling grain that we have found, only problem being that they make laying a concrete a shed load more expensive than it already is!

This works very well.

1m centres. 300mm x 300mm tunnel then we concreted them in onto an existing concrete floor. Fed by a 37kw fan. This will cool/dry 4m deep crop.

Looks good, who supplied that kit, was it expensive?

Compared to other makes then no it was good value. Total package was 1000kw heat exchanger, 37kw fan, 2 of the drying floors (laterals etc) which are a total of 60ft x 80ft, all the concrete including laying it and power floating etc. All pipe work and installation as well as lots of underground insulated pipe of around 300m in length. Its made by a german company called Schmelzer and supplied by a uk company who's name escapes me at the minute. To say its surpassed our expectations is an understatement. The key to this working as well as it has is the narrow spaced tunnels. We installed double the suggested amount for normal grain drying, as we wanted to dry deeper but also other materials. To be honest we have now got a stirrer in there and I think we could build the walls up and store to 6m deep and it would still work as long as we keep a level top to allow stirring.
