Boom Irrigators

Anyone got any oppinions on boom irrigators? I've possibly got a very large volume of "dirty water" to apply to land and don't want to be running about with tankers or using an umical set up.
I'm thinking big lagoon then underground pipe network feeding several fields then using irrigation reel pulling a 30m boom.
Cheers.

Fine in square fields with no poles. Does the dirty water have sand eat in it as that would wear out turbines etc on the reel, of that was the case you can/could get reels that are pulled in with small engines which would mean less wear and tear. If it doesn't smell then you could just use a gun.

Thanks Colin, it's pretty much water with a high bod/cod. There could potentially be as much a 1000m3 per day so I'm now looking into pricing up a big lagoon to store at least 100000m3. Anyone built ant lagoons recently?
Cheers.

Have a good look at the latest SAFFO regulations. They are somewhat tighter now. Involve the EA (or Scotish equivalent) from day one & it will save you a lot of hassle later on.
