No - because it was an emergency council called to discuss the repercussions of the Brexit vote which, quite rightly, occupied the whole day because of its immense importance.

Meanwhile I can assure you BPS still gets my attention. I'm off to the RPA tomorrow.

When you meet the RPA, could you clarify if the personal emails which some of us received last week, and were comforted to get, were in fact a bulk mailing?
One TFF member had received one, and confirmed he had no queries.
If it was a bulk mailing, and not targeted at specific farmers who had problems, then the chaos continues - despite the words of comfort.

Hello Matthew. We can try and help clarify for you. As well as the cases already known to us, and so we can fully investigate all claim issues, we asked farmers who believe their payment was not what they expected, to write to us. It sounds like your claim may have been one of those in the first category – one where we think there is a difference in your payment.

We have started to write to all claimants whose payments are part of our 2015 BPS planned payment reconciliation process to let them know what is happening and what they can expect. The email you have had from us will be one of these. We are looking at 2015 payments where there’s a difference between the information on the claim and the information we hold, to make sure each farmer is paid for everything they were eligible for.

You can find out more info from our latest press release onGov.UK available here. Thanks, RPA

Thank you @RPA for coming back on here and giving an informed response.
I raised the issue with my claim in Feb, and was told it was complete, but I would have to wait for a statement to see how the payment was calculated..... I still have had no statement. I am sure there's a fair few farmers who didn't want to raise an issue, having been paid, when there was thousands who had received nothing? I am glad the rpa have picked up that there's issues, but engaging with farmers would make the error correction process much faster. It would help greatly if you could make sure every farmer has their payment statement, and ask them to contact you if there's a problem, but give them a phone number which will get someone who can actually fix the errors.
Thank you for your input, and welcome your ongoing participation on here. Thanks for coming back!

As I understand it the NFU top team were told yesterday in no uncertain terms at the NFU London meeting that the way they handled the BPS issue and have/ are refusing to bring the likes of Liz Truss/ Mark Grimshaw to account was disgracefull and totally unacceptable and apparently the NFU top team were very unhappy with what was said!

Just to confirm what is written above is a load of made up tosh.

But I'm not going to get sucked into GUTHs mad world of constant , personalised bickering with posters on TFF. I'm sure most would rather read something else.

@RPA I've had 2 payments now but they only add up to forty odd pounds per acre - I have had a remittance note but no statement showing how the sums were arrived at - how do I get a statement so I can review it and challange it if I believe it to be incorrect?? Thankyou.

My agent text me today to see if I've had any money, to which I replied No not a penny !. He later text to see if I'd had anything from them, to which I replied No nothing no money no letters no emails !.

Harvests cancelled !.

I don't want to answer for the RPA, but Volume can't be a problem now, they have openly published the fact that they have all the resources they need!

I suppose that depends on how many of the 2015 claims are found to be incorrect, through no fault of the claimant.
5 per cent and RPA may have all the resources needed.

50 per cent would cause a few hiccoughs and the almost 70 per cent of claims indicated as faulty on another TFF thread equals problems.

So you slag me off Guy Smith and say im a liar and then when its confirmed by someone else that you are indeed the liar you refuse to give me an apology??

You @Guy Smith are NOT fit to hold the NFU office holders job that you do!

I will be bringing up your total unacceptable behaviour with senior NFU staff in the next few days if you do not PM a private apology or make one on this thread!

For the record @Guy Smith , I didn't take GUTH's word for it, and I didn't Hinton his source, I spoke with someone else who was there and they confirmed that bps issues were raised by a couple of county chairmen during the course of the meeting, and at least once you replied with figures and an explanation if them.
The meeting was about the Nfu and ag going forward following the exit vote, but to say that bps was not raised, was wrong. Unless you are saying the person I spoke to was lying too!

Guy is clearly the ONE lying over this issue, its totally unacceptable ( and unheard of in living memory ) for top team NFU office holder to lie to his/ her own members like this!!

Its just NOT acceptable and has he has lied about this what other lies has/ does he make??

Irrelevant - they have all the information and have published that they have enough resource, so again question still stands, Why is it taking so long?

(I suspect the real answer is, that they are just working to their own timeline, so are not "in a rush")

Yes they have a lot of problems with mapping and IT, none of which are the customers fault!!!!!!
