They go well (y) but parts are damn near impossible to get hold of from Claas anymore and if Claas do still supply the part you have to wait weeks for it to come in (n) and Woodfields baler parts people are almost as slow (n)

The slip clutch on the pickup is the weakest part and you will block the pickup before you block the packers. In fact the whole pickup is the weakest part of the baler.

The knotters are ok but billhooks are 400 pound each from claas  check that the 'beak' part of the billhook is closing tightly together, because if it isn't it means the roller is worn and you need new billhooks (n)

i had a rubber coupling that drives the knotters break on mine, check the condition of the rubber and replace it sooner than later

and there is a very pesky shearbolt on the knotter drive cog that will have you scratching your head when it breaks, until someone shows you where it is

but apart from that it was a good baler, but i much prefer my welger :)

I have an instruction manual in pdf form if anyone needs it
I had a class constant years ago. It would take on a mind of its own and not tie a thing. Bloody thing broke my heart. We're the constants made in a different factory or something. They were nowhere near as good as the marks ts.

Is it possible you can send me the manual. We have a Claas Markant 65 and it seems like the one string is breaking. We are trying to complete baling and need to go through the machine, but our operators manual got wrecked in a flood a couple of years ago. Class South Africa are not helpful at all.
Email address is [email protected] or you can use [email protected]
