I think they declare a 'state of emergency' in order for farmers to claim insurance or financial help.
The frosts aren't thought to affect wheat, maybe OSR if anything.

Rain in the forecast for Russia next week.

I'm selling a couple of loads of new crop wheat and barley on Monday, £221/194 nov ain't a bad price.

Agree, sell a bit into rising market, dont have to go mad , if that’s your worst then all good, if it’s your best good job you sold a bit when you did.

Frost in May on wheat can cause serious yield loss
we had frosted ears in hollows when we had very early crops of Avalon and May frosts
frost at the wrong stage of ear development can be as devastating as hail

if Russia has a much reduced harvest it will have as big an impact as the invasion of Ukraine
the two biggest discounters

Given the collosal downer the USDA report always is, mildly bullish means *MAN THE FING PUMPS*.

UK will be down 50p in any case.
I'm not sure it will, it all depends on June and July. Obviously there will be areas that are, yours in particular. it's amazing how well some crops have improved in the last few weeks
