Yes. Spoke to a compressor engineer today and he said the same. £67/hr min 3hr call out.....
We run 2 big (expensive) screw compressors for robot milking, even with the cost of them, I hardly think it’s worth getting much repair work done on them. And some of the compressor service companies would make dick Turpin blush. I will never have Pennine air services back on farm even if hell freezes over.

There's not much to a Clarke's one. What's to go wrong? You can get another pressure switch off Ebay for <£12. I have an ABAC. I replaced the electric motor years ago. Then it started starting and stopping after 10s or so. I replaced the pressure switch but the problem is still there. Plenty of videos on Youtube so I am determined to win!:)

Compressor service engineer.

Such a none job that they need to charge the earth to justify their existence.
They’re like pressure washer engineers - just a fitter in a van with a set of spanners and a selection box of O-rings.

Service then in-house or dump them and buy new.

We sent two of ours that needed attention to auction and just bought a new one. Told auction house that one had a cracked cylinder and to sell as spares, he didn’t bother to mention it in the advert, both sold.. we previously enquired about getting the other one looked at and concluded it was not economical
