David Brown 885

I have a DB 885, an early brown and white model so it probably shares more in common with the 880 than the red and white 885 made later one, I stripped it down to clean out the back end some time ago due to it being full of milky oil and started re-assembling it but I'm struggling with the hydraulic controls, I took out what I think is a control needle (number 29 on the parts diagram) and the parts book I have isn't clear which hole it is supposed to go into, if it is the hole the parts boon suggests then it's the wrong one and I have no idea how it worked before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
TIA
Falky

In to there, if you try to put it in the wrong place it won't line up to fit the knob on the end.

As far as I can remember, the 885 were all the same no matter what the colour.

@John 1594 may know more on the subject.

Thanks @Netherfield I thought that was where it went, the thread is completely the wrong size for that one so I'll have to try and source the correct one I did read somewhere that they used a different size in later models so something may have been miss matched at some point in its life

If it is of any interest, I have a complete valve chest salvaged from an 880 involved in a barn fire. Fair way South of Yorkshire though. Steering column assembly from the same machine as well.
