Ok some answers,
The front tool bar is a Quivogne SCD, and when not pulling the seeders we hang a Guttler simplex packer off the back to make a very low disturbance subsoiler, for want of a better word, although we never go deeper than around 15-20cm.
Filling the seeder hoppers is abit of a pain, to drill 4ha I had to fill up 3 times, which takes about 5min.
I'm sure it would work fine for maize, that's what we used to drill with the old stanhay in the 70s,80s and 90s when we had cattle, and I'm also sure the system would work for sugar beet and rape, but not with the stanhay as it's a belt planter, you need a vac planter.
We have a few ideas on how to improve the system and up grade the planter, just need some time in the workshop, the machine you see in the photo is the mark 3 version any way.
