Distressed Feed Barley

I have 300ish mt of feed barley that cannot go into the normal channels due to a banned insecticide chemical being used on it in store.

It might be useful to run a bio mass boiler? or AD plant?

Let me know if you have a use for it and value.

Send me a PM

I would advise not to be used in AD, AD is a biological process, with bacteria, if you have put insecticide on it to kill something, it could have a negative side on the AD.

Might be ok to burn but risk reaction to quality of burn etc.

I wouldnt think that anybody who has made a significant investment on either AD or biomass would be interested on just trying to save a few quid when what they are already using probably works.

Fair comment on the risk to the bacteria, I have no idea.

It was an approved product up to a could of years ago. I know of a few bio mass burners who are burning chaff and cereal dressings so see no reason why this wouldn't work. Trouble is my contacts who burn cereals at the moment don't have the capacity for more tonnage.

At the end of the day I am just trying to help a customer out who's struggling to get rid of it, someone somewhere may have a use for it?
