Drench dipstick

Has anyone come across a dipstick/volume gauge that can be dipped in a part-used container of drench to check how much is left to use? Sure there must be a better way than tipping into a jug, but unsure how to adapt a ruler into a litre-measure!

How about weighing it?
Weigh an empty and a full to see how heavy 5 litres is and go from there.

Dark room, bright LED type torch - shine in the neck - you should see the level quite easily.
But what does that, or an uncalibrated dipstick tell you on an irregular shaped container? Ok if you just want to guestimate quantity left to know if enough to do a group of lambs. But it will be approximate.
Weighing easiest by far for accurate measurement imo. Kitchen scales at the ready. :)

Volume in Litres = Height x Width x Length / 1000
ie a 2.5 ltr container would typically be 25cm x 4cm x25 cm

so just measure height of product left for an approximation.

If you really want one of these you could easily make your own.
Get an empty container and a measuring jug. Start adding measured volume increments that you want to measure into the bottle and record the level on a dip stick with a scratch.
