Had a quick word with a broker we have used before and he quoted me a SC 40p ,and a day rate of 33.79 and night of 26.95 BG Lite
Oh how I laughed when he said it had gone up ,not down
This is after them putting us on a yr contract of 26p day and 22 p night ending this Oct


I had a quick quote of 21.15 at a day rate with Scottish Power , from one we trust ,not sure of the length on that ,but you need to be careful people dont think its an opportunity to take the Michael

Scottish Power vary their standing charge every 3 months. The current rate is 192p a day. Just be very careful when dealing with them.

How can they vary it? Surely you contract on a standing charge and it stays on that ? We have been with then for 6 months and its still the same as we contracted for?!!
Does it vary with whereabouts you are ,because that does not make sense to me

You pay a bit more per unit instead, ideal for low usage.

Iirc their standing charge tariff was about 19p (but don't remember what the sc was).

Because I had opened a domestic account with them recently too, they set the 2 accounts to refer each other, crediting each account with £100.
