We were going to apply up until the point we realised that you can only cut 50% of your hedges per year whether you have chosen hedgerows as an option or not that was the end of our application

Really?! Missed that little nugget :mad:
Problem is I would probably get all my points for EFA from growing beans as part of my rotation so I don't need any of my old margins. Its just I don't really want to plough them up so I might as well get paid for them............... However they are making it so blimmin complicated I may just plough them up to spite them. :(

Same here. Vining peas cover my EFA needs. I really don't want to plough all my margins etc up, even though there would be a certain satisfaction sticking 2 fingers up. But we all have to face commercial reality, and the case for CS is far from compelling on that score.
