Farmers earn more from YouTube than their crops

Interesting, I’ve managed to get £25k of poultry equipment and have currently got an application in for a seed drill. We never seem to be in the right catchment areas to get grants for concrete and capital investment, will investigate for the next round.
Having rainwater harvesting and separating dirty water helps

anyone any idea what sort of money he could be earning from youtube?
Here is what I have found on the internet:

***********************************************************************************************************************
For the majority of YouTubers, the earnings are a lot more modest. As a benchmark, you can expect to make around $3 – $5 per 1,000 views (about £2.50 – £4.10 per 1,000 views, at the time of writing). This means that one million views equals $3,000 – $5,000... or between £2,500 – £4,100 to us British folk.

As long as the channel continues to meet the criteria for the YouTube Partner Programme, any eligible videos will continue to earn money.

***********************************************************************************************************************

Lets say if you post a video and it gets 150,000 views and you get the bare minimum £2.50 per 1000 views.
This means that £2.50x150=£375! Imagine publishing a few a week like that!

You can't blame people for doing them or having a go at YouTube as that is better than farming. Okay, you have got to buy things like video recorders and software to edit the videos. Plus you have got to put your time towards it, just like any other job. But once the video has been made and premiered, that's it, you haven't got to do a thing!
But it is like anything you have either got it or you haven't. Myself, for example, wouldn't know where to start when it comes to recording and editing a video. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

From what I understand YouTubers don't get any more money for the number of subscribers they have. The only thing they do get is a plaque in the post for:
100,000 subscribers
1,000,000 subscribers
10,000,000 subscribers
100,000,000 subscribers

But you can’t monetise your content untill you reach a minimum of 500 subscribers and a minimum 3000 Watch hours of your videos in a 365 day period or a minimum of 3 million shirts views in 90 day period !
And upload a minimum of 3 videos in 90 day period

I’m halfway in hours and just over 80 subscribers short of 500

I have no problem with olly’s farm. I wish I was as up beat as him. I do think his away with it but he doesn’t provide misleading YouTube video titles or stupid thumbnails. Hard to figure out why he has so few comments on his videos, is it because people save them for here. Didn’t watch toms video today. I’m guessing he passed his tb test? If he failed he’d say nothing till he was cleared fear he scare away the public like the last time. I told him stop glueing his hand to his head, will he ever learn.

I don’t watch Olly (watched a few last year when clever Trev turned up) he definitely removes the comments.

That’s another thing about toms tb video last year just thinking about it there now. You wouldn’t make a silage video and sit on it until winter time to release it. More misleading bs. Then them saying they like to show the good and bad of farming, at a time of their convenience.I’m sure olly removes his comments, he only seems to have 8 or 9 a video all with a question or saying how good he is but would honestly take watching his videos overs toms these days.

If you watched toms video back when he got tb he explains clearly why he released the videos when he knew the final outcome, but you obviously missed that are you too stupid to understand carnt work out which...

You might remind me why he didnt tell the the public he had reactors so please until the time they passed? Were they still selling raw milk at this point? I’m going with the stupid tag on this one. Did he pass today? Shock me and say no.

The thing about Olly's Farm is some of the things that he says are incorrect, I watched one of his videos and have never watched a full one since

Al Murray charged £30k for about an hour on stage at the free range egg awards so maybe they're underselling themselves?!
