What’s a better way ?
Nobody's said what there protesting about yet.

From a UK point of view and poor beef prices, hopefully Brexit is main factor affecting prices. Even though i voted to leave I'm tempted to vote lib dems and just bloody scrap the whole thing. Even if conservatives get back in, if they don't get a decent majority this sorry mess will continue.

If it continues for another year don't think many beef farmers will continue.

As for anti meat propaganda, we need to just tell people the truth and educate the public what we're doing.

Pretty sure I posted what they are protesting about earlier in the thread. Basically, they are fed up with the constant criticism from the green lobby, from the vegans, about claims cow muck and fertility is polluting water, new environmental directives from Germany, and the low prices for food.

If you want Brexit to get put to bed, voting lib dem will only increase the chance that it will drag on, simply because the lib dems will never get a majority, and will keep trying to stifle progress.

Thanks for clarifying that, the fendtfest thread was similar and thought this was same thread.

So how's driving tractors into the city going to improve there cause? I know it must feel great actually doing something rather than just getting p!ssed off and moaning all the time.

Surely they need to counter these arguments with facts to the contrary.

Perhaps they are just as fed up with their unions silence on the matter as many in the UK are over the NFU's shouting of the facts!!! The silence from the NFU is deafening!!

Tin hat on but those farmers need to consult a PR company, turning up to protest in several million pounds worth of machinery won't have the desired effect when the average persons house costs less then some of those machines.
Have you seen the cars and machinery that the average small injection moulding company's and the like run?

I agree entirely, but when was the last time injection moulding companies held a protest?

I support the farmers, was simply commenting on how multi million pound machinery being present at the protest will be perceived by joe public. Bloody rich farmers moaning again may be a phrase regularly used...... Most of that machinery will be on finance but Joe public will not know that, is what I am getting at really.

Anyway wish them the best if luck

Good luck running 500+ac intensive farming operations with a fleet of MF35's like the old days. People want cheap food, farms have to be efficient and that means horsepower. Food was worth much more in the 60s, 70s, 80s than it is now, and the farms have had to grow to keep their heads above water. Perhaps their/and our unions need to explain to the public why farmers need such expensive equipment ...... because the public demand cheap food!
