Seen on tiktok the new 600 series, tractor in question was a 620. So is the 716,718 and 720 being replaced? Any1 know if its a sisu up front? Bound to be a backward step in fuel consumption compared to the deutz

Don't think they'll be replaced. They're indeed powered by AGCOPOWER engines, a 5 liter engine.

Why would you think they are a backward step in Fuel consumption?

Fendt have been running Deutz and SISU across the different ranges and are getting excellent results using both brands of engines..

Iv had sisu engines and they were quite thirsty, i also drove a mf 6s180 recently and it wouldnt of pull your cap off, struggling to get to 50k on a bit of a hill. Is that not the same engine

In the ones we owned i counted them on the tirsty side, the 6s180 was lack of power

Mine like a drink too, but they are being worked hard on double mowers or tanking up hills all day with a 2500 tanker.

If you look at the link i attached you will find it’s a mixture of all kinds and the Deutz is not significantly more frugal than others when tested for given outputs.

Shame they couldn't have developed a 5 cylinder engine for it! I suppose development cost , and cost of manufacturing would be the prohibitive factor. Would have been nice tho, something different!

No, my own are 6 cylinder.

Ive used a 4.4 5470 over a number of years and it is in my opinion a brilliant performer.

Fuel gauge is next to useless as if it’s pointing up hill it has half a tank, whereas it really has about 30 litres left.
It was good on fuel, as one day despite protests of alarm from me to alert the owner to the fact that it was going to run out of fuel, near 5 o’clock it ran out of fuel.
I had to do the walk of shame back to the yard and carry back 15 litres of fuel.

I finished the remaining couple of hours of the day on that 15 litres of diesel.

A friend had a 5480 and claimed it was very greedy compared to the 6280 using a fuel gauge

I owned a 6280 up until 11 months ago and back to back the 5470 was definitely easier run for the same work - which I would expect with having 4 cylinders to slide up and down a block compared with 6.

The 5470-80 does have a smallish fuel tank however, 150 Lts vs 225 in the 6280/90.
