Hi, I might have found genuine parts cheaper! I can't PM you because of your privacy settings but if you could PM me with your serial number and exact model, I will try to cross-reference the part.

Thanks Graeme

Can electric actuators be repaired or serviced? Problems on an Axera H and at nearly £800 a go, its a bit painful.
Lucky you can get them when one failed on my axis had to replace both as no old type left. Luckily mechanic opened it up and managed to repair it.

The amount of failures there seems to be with Kuhn actuators it would put me off buying another. Haven't taken it out of shed yet but normally a problem every spring.

Open it up and have a look, pretty simple inside, I was talking with a kuhn guy 90% of the issues are with water ingress. I made sure it was well sealed when I put it back together and is been fine up to now.

Thanks all for your replies. Farmergrum, I have sent a PM (I think!). Its a great spinner, but Kuhn parts are extortionate. Axis actuators around £400, but because this is EMC nearer £800 each. That's progress I suppose!!

Hence much to my brothers disgust I refuse to be dragged kicking and screaming into this century and joining the packs of 'lemmings' being lured to the cliff face of spreader complexity ,
As mentioned on another thread I have what is a rarity , a manual Axis 30.1 and it is excellent

Open it up and fill with rice to dry it out. Also when putting the machine away in the winter, when you are done just open the actuators up, and then when you press to close the actuators when they are half way through closing pull the power lead, an it stops them getting stuck next year when they are tightly closed to. Had loads like this before and Kverneland machines are the exact same.
