Just bought a load of Amidas 40-0-0-14 £370 yesterday. Won’t be buying any blue bags or inhibitors here

Will Amidas fall foul of the daft urea inhibitor rule? We used 38-0-0-19S this year, first time using a urea product, and really happy with the results. Can't guarantee it getting on before their deadline though (for inhibitor use) so reluctant to buy again, even though we liked it.

I think the inhibitor deadline thing needs to be informed by the soil you have to contend with.
We are inherently hungry brash and not very fertile. I will be relatively comfortable with having all N on by end of March here, nine yrs out of ten.
I could almost say beginning of March, tbh, but will refrain for fear of looking silly.
Urea hangs around very tenaciously in the soil.
First couple of times I used it in the 90s, and striped it on, the stripes were visible in the following barley crop.

My understanding is that Amidas WILL fall foul of the deadline with applications only up until 31st March next year. It’s what I was told by our local Yara area technical and sales manager. It is not an inhibited product and has a urea content above the threshold. Happy to be proved wrong if you know different.

Where is the gas coming from to manufacture fertiliser on market at the moment?

Are the sanctions on Russian gas/oil still ongoing? Have alternative sources of gas been found? Why has gas/fuel prices dropped so drastically?

I'm trying to get my head round what affect a escalation of the conflict in the Ukraine would have on fertiliser and fuel prices?

Sorry I think too much.
