The ICE in mobiles has always puzzled me. Most phones are locked and opened by a code So how does the emergency services access your ICE numbers ?
That's probably true these days but I have come across one road collision about a year ago whereby someone was well enough to tell me their mobile keypad lock number and I rang his Father for him (stored under ICE)

I think it just as relevant for folks responding to a 9m2 locator especially in remote areas

I have recommended Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service adopt too

Only yesterday I was on a 999 call (2nd on the scene of a fatal RTC, not a pretty sight) trying to explain exactly where it was. As I lived half a mile away, I knew the name of the farm we were near, I knew the B-road number, I knew how far it was out of town and how far to the next village but they still struggled to pinpoint it on the phone as they wanted a street name and a village, not open countryside. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

I understand the same thing happened with the Hillsborough episode. The emergency call centre had to have a street name to enter into the computer but callers only knew the stadium name.

Go to main page, click on Explore Map, use finger and thumb to squeeze down the map and then finger to move map around until the pin is over your chosen location, expand again. Give it a moment and the three-word-code for that site will come up on the red bar below.

Why do I have to use my email address as a user name?

I have a rather long email address. I've had it for a long time and as it's used in so many things, it's not practical to change it. I would much prefer to be able to have a short user name. TFF doesn't require me to log in with my email address.
