Finding sons of bulls

Hi

We bought some heifers in a few years ago and some have matured into what we see as very good cows. I can't see that the bull is still available but got wondering if there's an easy way to find if sons of certain bulls are being sold, without ordering everyone's catalogue etc.

If you know the name of the bull, you can search for it on the breed society website and find what progeny has been registered

His name is Tisaxon Elmo. I have no idea how he's regarded but, put over frixjersey LIC types, he has produced cows we wouldn't mind more of!

Seems a common thing, by the time you’ve found you have cows that suit your system well, the bull is long gone.
One of my favourite cows is by a bull called Newhouse scurry, - he never made it through cornerstone testing (genus) and I’d have loved to use more straws by him

I've looked him up on holstein uk website and he's had no sons registered in the UK. But he is an Irish bull.

Been there - that`s the sort we like

the old "Soonest ripe, soonest rotten " concept.
Trouble is some of the bull selection criteria end up with that result

Yes, have maidens for this year and cows incalve for September. Maidens look very pleasing so far. He is off a bull OTS and I regret not using him.
