Free catering and food set up advice in exchange for Metal Detecting permissions in Suffolk/Essex/Norfolk.

Please accept my apologies to Admin if this is disallowed.

Are you thinking of diversifying a part of your farm produce to create extra income, but unsure about hurdles and hoops with Health, Hygiene, Allergens, cook chill systems and administration set up for food business start up and more. Because red tape is a bugger.

I've been in the catering trade for over 30 years from private schools, armed forces, business & industrial to NHS site, I'm versed in cured meats, cheese making, and food types from all around the world. And have a wealth of knowledge about streamlining procedures, equipment set & costs for better GPs and making things as painless as possible.

The trade off would be just allowing me to metal detect on your land of which strict guide lines, I follow unlike other idiots who what permission and don't care a monkeys about your land after they've been on it. Please see below my letter which I use.

Dear

Are you interested in the history of your land? Finding out what lies beneath our feet can tell us more about the rich tapestry of it's past and in turn will add to the heritage of the area.

My name is Steve DBS cleared for 22 years ex Eton College Chef and live in Kedington, Suffolk, and am interested in the history of our region and look for coins/objects and artefacts using a state of the art metal detector, so I am writing to ask for access to your land for myself and detecting partner for this purpose.

I have been Metal Detecting for almost 4 years and I am a member of the National Council of Metal Detecting and follow stringently the code of conduct as laid down by the pursuit of my hobby this council also includes liability insurance up to £!0,000,000.

You can rest assured that I will always respect your property and leave it in the same condition as it was found. I know how busy you must be so rather than knock on your door unannounced I prefer to make this first contact with you by letter.

I will be grateful if you will grant permission and would appreciate the opportunity of a meeting or a telephone conversation during which I can answer any questions you may have, research is done first using Lidar and old maps which I have used on 2 other permissions which are The Priory and Cotton Hall Stud.

Please do not hesitate in phoning or texting the number so I could call at a time convenient to you, or emailing me : if it is more convenient, and we can arrange a time to meet.

You may also be interested to learn that I offer a FREE RECOVERY SERVICE to local farmers or anyone who has maybe lost a ring or indeed any metallic vehicle object, like a tractor part. Also a security checking service is offered whilst detecting checking boundaries, broken fencing, gates and other out of the ordinary goings on as we detect on your land.

If you were interested, I would be more than happy for you to accompany me on my first outing on your land.

I thank you in anticipation for your consideration of this request and I look forward to your reply.

Yours sincerely
