Grazing land and business land for rent 12 acres

I was wondering if you could help me. I have been approached by a lovely couple wanting to rent my land for grazing 6 alpacas and hoping to run a alpaca walking experience on it.

I don't know where to start as I haven't though of doing anything like this before.
There are 5 fields each with its own water and very well maintained walls.
How much would you charge for this in the West Yorkshire area?
Is there anything I need to make sure I have in place. eg Public liability insurance?

Do it properly with a land agent and get a FBT or grazing licence and make it clear who’s responsible for maintaining the walls. I reckon alpacas would command more like equine money than sheep or cattle money. At a rough guess £1500pa min to be worth your while but equine money would be twice that easily I would have thought.

Thankyou for your response. It is really appreciated. I have no idea. I want to help them and the community but have no idea how much it will cost to allow them to do this on my land so just want to be able to cover the costs and not be left out of pocket if I do need to hire anyone for an agreement. Also if I have to provide the public liability insurance if they are running a walking experience on it.

Are you aware of who would be the best land agent to use in the Halifax area?

It’s more than just land rent out public will be on land etc. I think £1500 isn’t enough. I would want £5k minimum to have public on land even if someone else was dealing with them

Hiya.
If you still have grazing available that you are willing to rent out- please would you contact me on here. I’m near Halifax and I’m desperately looking for grazing for horses- there is nothing about that isn’t already taken .
