Grimme cart elevator web

Need a new cart elevator web for our DL1700. Would like to update to a GT type with side fingers as we can suffer damage on the DL's fixed side plates. Would a GT web fit a DL? Has anyone done this? Any issues to consider? Thanks

put finger type on a gz 1700 lot better than previous one with those stupid plastic side plates that wen got a little wear would fall out at one end

Yes it will fit, it is a lot better job, did mine a couple of seasons ago and luckily managed to find a second hand one off a breaker. There is a slight extension piece in for a windrower kit.

Some pictures would be great! Our DL has a windrow kit on it so would need the longer web? Or is a GT web longer anyway? Did you put the larger diameter drive cogs on your DL when you changed the web @Bemo

No didn't change any rollers. It will fit ,You will just need the extension piece for the windrower, I think mine was a 4 flight extension. You also need to lift the transfer web up a bit so the bottom doesn't catch it as the flights are slightly taller.

Isn't the gt/gz elevator wider than the DL variants elevator?

Also looking for a variant DL elevator if any one knows of a scrap machine or one being broken for spares.
