Groundswell a bit pricey?

be a job to understand a word hes saying according to @Blaithin whos met him i believe :D😂
seriously tho i suspect he would do the Gigg and it would only cost them a few glasses of central Otago Pinot noir :ROFLMAO:
That is merely alleged speculation and or rumour!!!
(Pm me so I can deny or confìrm anything she may or might not say...)
Have very definitely procured and exported the odd box of Central Otago pinot to the Northern Hemisphere and can confirm that I was right on the duty free limit on entry to Canada last year, but actually more partial to BC cider... 😉
That said if TFF or any one from TFF wants to hear me speak ,I have no objections for contributions for airfares, preferably to Dublin or Knock.

I wonder if there will still be a few hardy souls, sleeping in the back of vans and pickups in the car parks still....

Always makes me chuckle watching the occupants emerge in the morning out of mishmash of vehicles. The spanking new BMW Estate was a surprise camper !! :)
This was us last year with an air mattress in the car and a tailgate tent

Feck me!
I could think of absolutely nothing worse.
Sleeping in a tent (or car) is NOT an option I’ll entertain.

How much is it to stay in the Ritz for a night and get a taxi to and from the event?
C'mon, do it properly TT.

Nothing wrong with a tent, a good mattress is vital though. My Thermarest is almost as nice as my mattress at home!

Main thing is some bushes nearby, or minimise beer and tea consumption after 7pm..... ;)

And Outside the camping zone..... ;)
Jeez!
Even most Pony Club Camps abandoned little tents to sleep in by the early 70’s in favour of caravans.
But the best ever at the Waveney Harriers PC Camp was a double decker bus in 1977, which was instantly banned from then on due to the all every-night parties that went on it, mostly well after midnight, to the sound of The Eagles, Hotel California washed down with loads of booze nicked from the Instructors party dining cabin.
My dad was DC at the time and I got banned too!

With a ratio of approx 9 girls to every bloke, some of the blokes were never actually interested in that good at horse riding.

Rather ironic that ICI was heavily promoting DD (with the use of Gramoxone) at that time and the ICI ‘10 tonne club’ growing Winter Barley variety Sonja, became established on the back of 2 farmers using Bettinson DD drills.

Even more ironic that ‘Barley ‘79’ at the RAC’s Coates Farm featured Direct Drilling and was what became the forerunner to The Cereal Event.

I’ve been a few times but I’m afraid groundswell is loosing my interest a bit now as it’s so mainstream with people jumping on the bandwagon and thinking of new ways to sell you things you don’t need
I have to agree!! I do think it has become to commercialized and moved away from its original ethos!!(principals)
ie sell me something to do what nature can do!!!!

Some of you younger modern DD’ers think us old buggers know feck-nothing about DD.
I tell you we know feck-all!

I wouldn't have the nerve to ask for a fee, but a beer improves my verbosity, 2 increases mental agility, 3 is a disaster zone! 😵
I wouldn't ever expect being paid to speak, but then some people who do get paid and some politicians are actually worse at speaking than I after several bottles of Mt Difficulty!!!
Could I actually do a worse job at speaking than the word salad thats expressed from like the current Canadian Liberal party leader/PM???

Again, and your not the first, I have no Irish ancestry or even British ancestry.
Even nearly 35 years ago I was asked randomly "Where in Ireland do you come from???"
And even before you ask we've done DNA testing to confirm that I'm related to my siblings/family.
Ancestry analysis has come back as defined as the region of the Netherlands/Northern Germany with a Scandinavian (Denmark/Sweden) twist which actually was a bit of a surprise, but there is a bit of a Scandinavian/Nordic fascination within our family.

whereas £70 will get you a years membership to the Nsa and they stand up against redtractor , all the methane nonsense ect... groundswell doesnt do thsat do they.

I'd say in fairness Groundswell are certainly interested in setting the tone and generating debate about all land use perspectives.

It's a force for good

Can't afford to go to Groundswell.... I've got a new plough to pay for.........

If you look to the left of the oak tree in the distance you will see my DD plot, to the right of the tree (the green bit) is the cultivated plot. The differance is stark. Yes I know I have been doing it all wrong and I will learn from my mistakes etc etc.

That one had too much US influence post merger

I don't have a photo of my actual second company car but this was very similar - just wait for the waste gate turbo lag ........
