Work colleagues are having a 'drumming with candles and mead' evening tonight, it's a bit hippy for me but I applaud their determination to maintain rituals that were here long before this time of year was hijacked by commercialism.

I know a lot of people who celebrate New Years mid January with the old Gregorian calendar. It’s more of a celebration to them than the 31st December…

For me 2022 has been a shockingly bad one with family health issues which has coloured my postings very much for the worse I fear. Sorry about that.
