8 and 9 metre in development, 12 metre in 2024 according to the guys at Cereals.
Hi all, this is correct. The team at Horizon are currently finalising the project to launch an exciting new 8m and 9m platform. This DSX will be EU road legal, have 3 sections (1 belly section and 2 wings) and be available on the same 16.7cm, 18.7cm, 20cm and 25cm row spacings that we currently offer. Providing prototyping goes well will launch the machine at Agritechnica in November. We have pricing available on the 9m so please feel free to DM if its of interest.

The 12m project will then follow which will have alot of new innovative features on it. The exact timescales on the launch of the 12m are still to be confirmed but we would like to launch it as soon as possible.

How are people's experiences this autumn?
Has anyone tried it through tall covers? Looks like the row cleaners would snag.
no problemo. row cleaners on every row unit. buckwheat volunteers have already been frost killed.

Hi all

Following on from my post in June I thought I would give you an update on this new larger 8m & 9m DSX platform because the wait is nearly over!

We will have several of these DSX running on farms across the world this spring of which 2 will be in the UK (1x in West England and 1x in Scotland) and we are taking orders for September / October 2024 built slots.

The 8m & 9m DSX can be configured on either 16.7cm, 18.75cm, 20cm and 25cm row spacings, it offers a 5700 litre double hopper as standard, an optional 400l mini hopper and our optional intergrated liquid fertiliser system. This larger DSX platform will offer farmers a high output no-till disc drill which encompasses all our cutting-edge DSX technology in a compact, EU road legal package.

If its of interest then feel free to drop me a DM, call, whatsapp etc on 07852794722

I really liked the look of this at Lamma especially the option to have row cleaners on a 9 meter but stick to narrower rows, currently running an Avatar with no hope of row cleaners as I understand it.
Are these Drills sold directly from the manufacturer?
I had a brief chat with someone on their stand but I think we confused each other when a dealer was mentioned 🤦🏻‍♂️

The yanks have tried row cleaners with a 750 and never seem to have a lot of success. Seems to come back to down pressure and sharp discs.

Why do you think the avatar needs row cleaners?

We are on a mixture of puffy chalk and flinty chalk, we also chop all straw including a lot of winter and spring barley and struggle with hair pinning in the Autumn. Discs don’t stay sharp for long unfortunately so we have resorted to a light cultivation. (Autumn ) Everything is direct drilled in the spring into cover crops established with cultivator and Bio drill. Avatar works great in those conditions!

Is this new tank shape/style following on all smaller models or is this just for the 8/9M?
