Here's our Target wheat. Second year of growing it. Wish we hadn't given it a second chance. Sample about the same as last year. I guess its not suited to light land.

im surprised .our target is not far off 80 sp wt.It looks like being a variety with a short shelf life as i cant even get any more seed this year-at least openfield have given up with it.How can it fall out of favour so fast??itsonly been on the list for a year.

That doesn't look too bad compared to some Grafton I rubbed out on light land as a 2nd wheat.
It was sown in desperation last autumn to use the seed.
I've cancelled seed ordered for 2nd wheats today, unless grown on the best land they have become too expensive if you use latitude and then 3 fungicides plus more fert
I will grow more barley and oats on this land from now on.
Spring barley has had one spray and I will have time to muck it or grow turnips before hand
Time to accept my lands yield limitations and cut back inputs!
