Hydro-electric >30kw anyone done one?

I am interested in this as I have an irrigation supply channel through my place which runs about 500 megalitres a day. The only regulator on my place drops 150cm.

What sort of hydro generators are available that could just be dropped in the flow.

Any sort of undershot wheel normally found on barges in rivers would work

not really many but I think with a drop this low you would be looking at a vortex :
