Thank you. With that comment, I take my permanent leave of absence from TFF.

It’s been nice knowing you all.
Whatever else, may Brexit bring none of you any harm, whichever version of it gets eventually done.
I'm not a fan of yours, as we know :), but you shouldn't let one very stupid comment* put you off TFF. I know the vast majority of people in the ROI despise SF / IRA as much we do over here and, regardless of all else, would never condone, let alone support, its actions or those of any other terror group.

Not saying you aren't a total sh!t-stirring c*ck in re Brexit, but I'd be sorry not to see you on the forum. (y)

*So obviously stupid that it has now gone...

Ashtree, we do not see eye to eye on many things. Sometimes your posts have the appearance of being anti British and sometimes your posts are most annoying.

However, you can also be very funny and you do sometime give us that needed poke with a stick. You also give us an external viewpoint on what is going on here.

In summary, the place is better for you being here, so please stay.

The recipients seem to be very random with no obvious connection to Ireland.:scratchhead: Just a way of them showing that they still exist maybe?

That is quite likely.

While there will always be a hardcore of republicanism, as there will in any movement or party, there are several factors which have changed over the years. The first is that there is a new generation who have never known 'the troubles' and they, hopefully, will not prove as fertile a recruiting ground as may be expected. Secondly, there has been a great effort to make the peace process work in the north, and this might also stifle the ambitions of the trouble makers on both sides. Third, the RC church is no longer the force it was in Ireland and to maintain what credibility it has left it will probably make a real effort to distance itself from futher violence.

However, it would be a grave mistake to think that the troubles won't erupt again, there is, after all, the usual heady mixture of nutters, the misguided, the dogmatic and those who see it as a business opportunity, still out there waiting for the fireworks to kick off on the 29th..

Sad to see another go through the abuse others feel free to throw.

Mmmm. He lives and dies by the sword in that regard. Has come out with plenty of provocative claptrap of his own.

I fully support a call to withdraw any unsubstantiated allegation against @Ashtree, and also call for him to cut out the tiresome, whinging, anti-british rebel tripe. It's so last century.

Ashtree directly implied that DUP officers had personally benefited from the RHI scheme. I'm not aware of any evidence to say that was the case. He lead the way in dishing it out, let's be honest. Not that it makes it right of course. But it's just typical of the playground bully to go crying when it's turned back on them.

I don't recall seeing a nice post TBH. From mocking the Falklands war, to general anti British, anti Royal family, anti Brexit bile.
That makes it alright then to suggest he may be the one sending bombs? Either way two wrongs don't make a right and neither should be defended, the post is gone and so is Ashtree. Move on.
