Irrigation costs???

Do you as a grower know the true cost of irrigating your crops including filling of reservoirs, cost of getting water to the hydrants and labour costs for applications?

I suspect that a lot of growers don't know the true cost of irrigation and wonder how those land owners that rent land to growers calculate the true cost!?

Do you? How does yours compare to benchmark figures?
I recently worked for a large estate who did a lot of analysis into the true cost and compared to benchmark figures the true cost was a lot higher hence me being interested to see if others aren't charging enough for irrigated land. We don't have our own land by the way.

About £120 every time the electric pump blows up then 50p per day in electric everything else is automatic or looked after by my tireless employee gravity.

Rely upon devotions to the rain Gods. Zero cost.

Other than irrigating crops whereby one sells the water does not seem to add up.
