Before non crawler users tut-tut about that, twin track machines can spin on the spot too. It does require a sympathetic driver not to scrub the tracks out.

for a twin track to do that it is just one track going forwards and one backwards. On this machine you are pushing the track sideways. Must be a helluva strain on the track rod ends. Although on the picture I think you can see it has a solid bar for a track rod.

Having Tracks on the front is pretty pointless and making it expensive, a big wide tyre there does the job fine, having experience of these, engaging 4WD usually has little effect in most conditions, and usually only comes into use turning with trailed implements. Not sure the steering system will be happy with it ether.

Having said that it will pull way better than the fixed 2 track type that wont pivot to follow the ground

A Quad track is different, more weight is at the front than the back.
Class just brought out a tracked front tyre option !

I thought you were asking this question from an engineering point of view, as to whether the steering had enough power to turn the front tracks whilst stationary on concrete, now whether you would ever want to do that is a different matter???

I thought with modern day electrotrickery they would maybe put a lock in from steering unless the tractor is moving

Must say, watching that video it looks very light on its feet for a big tractor! Don’t think I could quite warrant one for on the front of my combi though?.
Just wondering when the 6rx will be coming out ??

Hopefully they dont come to Europe on those tracks, they have way too much cleat V space, if fact the reverse of whats required, All original quadtrac' s had to have tracks replaced due to the dog leg type pattern they came with, they wont grip on hard but damp surfaces.

be perfect here then - we don’t have hard surfaces on our arable country and we won’t drive on wet soil if we can avoid it
And when it’s wet, it’s VERY soft . . .
We don’t really do wet AND hard :)

They can’t look worse.i fail to see how John Deere make such ugly tractors.it does not alter the fact that they are great products but must be easier to make them look nicer

They look better when you see them in metal, rather than in pictures for some reason.

Are the track units zuidberg?
I’ll be honest, I didn’t really have time to give it a thorough going over as I was in a rush. It does look well engineered with some nice features.
The backend has been moved out but the automatic reverse camera works well.

As our sales rep keeps telling us it’s designed by a former BMW designer, like that’s a good thing ?‍♂️
