Just a quick heads up on our 2015-2016 Milling contacts....

"Following the success of our Min premium NO Max milling wheat contracts for all G1's and Cordial, we will be withdrawing this product at the end of the week (4pm Friday 6th). If anyone still has uncommitted tonnage please PM us asap. If anyone would like to register their interest for the 2016-2017 season please leave a PM and you will be contacted as soon as terms have been finalised".

These contracts are a great way of protecting oneself from poor premiums, whilst allowing you to take advantage of high premiums should the market allow.

unless there is a specific "short" to a certain mill on a certain day, do you not find most merchants are in the same ball park when it comes to feed wheat prices?

The "min premium" offered....are we talking £20/t still?

In your part of the world, yes. It changes depending on location, with farms further north getting min 25.

haulage and supply. Not much top quality milling wheat grown on the Pennines so Manchester/Liverpool trade at greater premiums to our Mill at Corby which is surrounded by arable farms.
