I am sure most of you in the county are aware that you are fortunate enough to have a specialist agricultural Chaplaincy, led by Alan Robson who has been in post for 25 years. The team is there to support those of any or no faith when they need. We all know that things can look pretty bleak at times in farming and rural areas. https://lrac.org.uk/
In order to ensure that funds are in place to keep a specialist rural team, the Chaplaincy aims to raise an Endowment of £1.5m through various fundraising campaigns and events.
Rosie Black (nee James) , an old ADAS colleague of mine, and Meryl Ward, who many will know (Uncle Henry's Farm Shop, pigs, etc etc) are currently walking the full length of the Viking Way from the Humber Estuary to Oakham in Rutland to raise funds.
