I seem to remember a few years ago, after a scorching July, the Express headline was "August will be hotter than July". All it did was rain for weeks after. It could even be the year when Rihanna's song "Umbrella" was number 1 for weeks. All it did was rain until it wasn't number 1 anymore. I lost my sense of humour that summer when it came on the radio and I still hate the song because of it!

Umbrella was a hit in 2007, the year of the summer floods down here, in mid July, which most definitely wasn't scorching that year! We had a river running down our driveway waist deep.

Never believe anything the Express says, its a comic. The only reason they'll have run the article above is that it gave them a good reason to put some pictures of girls in bikinis in the paper.

Funny that. Was just reading on Mail Online website yesterday that we all had to make the most of the next two days as August going to be a washout.

Hopefully the Express are right.

Steady down here for a couple of hours now. Perfect timing as we cleared the hay up a couple of days ago.

Parsnips liking the drunk as well.

But wheat is just about fit and would like to cut it next week.

Probably a complete load of conkers just like most tabloid headline weather predictions; same as last winter was going to be the coldest on record and so on and so on....... Little more than a cheap publicity stunt to try and sell a few more rags; makes a change from the Daily Wail forever droning on and on, predicting house prices rising this week and and falling the next.
