Would any one know the alternative part number for the 4 v belt drive belt on a C460 straw blower or is it a dealer only item . Thanks

I fitted one onto ours yesterday. No alternative unfortunately has to be the genuine Mchale. Shopped around and there are similar belts but just a fraction the wrong size. £225 from our dealer. Expensive but it doesn't run very well without it.

How long do a set of belts last?

Had ours 4 years and this is the first time we've changed it.

When we cut a.belt on the wrapper,the quotes from belt firms were more than a McHale one

Few years ago I priced up the belt from various bearing places

McHale was cheapest

got mine from george lodge &son ltd in hull , cant remember the price but was about 1/3 of hchale !, so brought 3 to keep in stock

McHale was cheapest

I bought a belt direct of Kubota main dealer £136 , Bearing Man was £34 I found out after

Was your price Inc vat or not ? Got intouch with a few belt suppliers to be told that it's a specialist belt . One said he could get one, which was cheaper than above by £50 . Thought I'd just try local dealer to see how dear genuine one would be only to discover theirs are £15 cheaper than non genuine ! I will enquire at the firm in Hull in the future but I need one now

I will find out. I think that would be including VAT but may be wrong.
