Massey 6160 Shuttle

I have a 1998 Massey 6160 with the electronic pre select shuttle. Normally it behaves and works as it should, but recently it has been having a 'moment', and the back and forward lights flash alternatively with accompanying beeping. It will still travel in the direction that the shuttle has selected, but keeps flashing and beeping. The only way I've found to resolve it is to turn it off and turn the battery isolator off for 10 seconds or so.

Does anyone know if its just one of those things, or is it a sensor playing up?

Any help gratefully received

Wondered if anyone had any thoughts about this?
It did it again today, but this time the gearstick went stiff and was difficult to engage a gear. When it cleared itself the gearstick was OK again.

Try calibrating the forward reverse can't remember exactly the procedure but I'm sure it's something like hold down the diff lock switch whilst holding the gear stick over in the hi lo position whilst starting the tractor. It should then select forward reverse a few times itself then stop if everything is ok
