Got a Massey Ferguson 8130 and today the pto has stopped working. Putting slurry out this afternoon with it. Filled tanker and put out 1st load no bother. Went to fill 2nd load and the pto will run for approx. 10 seconds and then stop.

If anyone has any ideas on what to check out before we get someone out to look at it as we don't want to look daft calling an engineer out if its something simple.

I have some advice for you fix it then sell it as soon as you can [emoji23][emoji23]

To be honest with you the 81 and 61s get a lot of hate but we've got a 6180 and a 6170 they're all right but we had the same with our 6170 if you go round to the back axel then clean down the left side (passenger side) there should be a little red wire ours was disconnected so we clipped it back together and it's been alright still I think we're at some point selling both and getting a 6280 and a 6290 good luck with your 8130 though [emoji1303]

cos its a twenty year old tractor thats broken a sensor not like a very reliable new 100k tractor

Sensor is broken, but its a strange one as its broken in 2 just where it screws into the casting, so at some point its had a knock and been cracked. The plug at the other end is also fecked with a broken wire. All fixable though!

She's a decent big tractor and this is the first bother its really had, so cant complain much.
