Merlo 28.7 suddenly lost drive

That code is for engine rpm sensor, signal interrupted after start
Check sensor in bell housing and the wires to it
Thank you

I did previously check the sensor and cleaned it up but I'll go through the wiring a bit more thoroughly and see if that clears it.

Do the error codes self clear once fault is fixed?

Record the red light with engine running and post it
Hiya
So I've changed the rpm sensor and fault has cleared. I also changed alternator as was bad.

Machine still moves very slowly.
I have a few issues things to clear up 1. Rev counter not working.
2. Random loose wire outside cab above battery no. 38? Not sure if relevant.
3. Hydrostatic fluid is contaminated. I have drained it once ,changed the filter, added new fluid but we are back to strawberry milkshake!
(This machine was stood for 8 ish years, god only knows what may have been put in the tank)

I'm thinking that seals between gearbox and hydrostatic engine may have gone and or valve on hydrostatic engine may be restricted.

Any pointers greatly appreciated!

Either way I'm thinking probably strip down and clean

Is the left hand dump pedal stuck slightly down?
Wire maybe for horn.

Doesn't seem to be, the spring is a bit slack but I was pushing it back up with my foot.
Looking at it closely the sensor rod could push in a little bit more than the full travel back on the pedal.

Would unplugging it bypass it if there is a fault
