Hello
As i progress tidying the 65 up, i need a new steering shaft ideally.

The MF part number is 1850589M91
This equates to a Sparex part S.43957, though i cannot find one. Any ideas?

I see a S.40277 which might be the same?
thanks

I see the pt. no. listed in the Sparex catalogue but not in Malpas' parts site. I'd suggest contacting a Sparex dealer and see if they'll contact their Sparex area rep, giving the part number. They may well still have old stock in their HQ.
Some time back I was looking for steering rams for a Ford digger that were not listed in the UK catalogue or UK website but eventually found them listed in Sparex USA. Local dealer rang his rep who came back and said they have 6 old stock in the UK warehouse HQ. (Said they were keen to move them on at a reduced price but it was still cheaper to get the originals refurbished!!)

ive got quite a few spare parts for the front axle and the steering box - ive been colelcting them over the years ready, though no such luck on the worm drive. I have two though the bearing surface is pitted on them. Local machine shop says he acannot do anything with it...

Let me know what parts you need as i may have some bits

Thanks. Steering box is in a bit of a mess, lots of play, stiff, and top bush is missing!! I haven't stripped yet as its the next project after I finish a B275, but I would be surprised if its not seriously damaged.

The steering box parts is likely to be my biggest challenge on the 65, so when I get an afternoon I'll head over the farm and get it off and bring it back the workshop to evaluate the damage. At least that should give me some time to find the parts whilst I get on with the B275.
