There are electric heat pump water heaters, but you won't get the temp you want for dairy washing out of them, you will get lots of milk replacer mixing temp.

Heat exchangers directly from the milk and heat recovery off the milk cooling compressor is the most efficient, and common.
Yes ive tempit water comeing from plate cooler can this be linked to hot water electric cylinder

Heat recovery on the compressor gives us water at around 60 degrees.

For every 100 litres of water, to heat from 10C to 80C takes 8kw leccy
60C to 80C takes 3kw leccy
so saving of 5kw leccy every 100 litres
Is that taking into account the Elec to run the heat recovery system? We installed a system years ago and saw no difference in our electricity consumption.

Shouldn’t need electric to run a heat recovery unit
Our system has a little pump on each compressor
Designed by our fridge man who reckons it gives better results than the systems where the fridge gas goes through the cylinder

Our is identical, the refrigerant goes through a heat exchanger and the water from the tank is circulated through the heat exchanger with a tiny electric pump. It generates huge amounts of hot water. Last summer when the condensers were working hard we were dumping 60 degree water on the floor to cool the milk more quickly.
