We've collected 50mm since Sunday. 🙁 Saw a local sheugh backed up this morning over its banks into my field. Too much water coming racing down the main burn it flows into. 15 acres of fourth cut to take here on conacre land I can't graze. It's not light land either. Brought 40 heavy stock in this week. It's heading fast for winter.
We had roughly an 1.5" over the course of Sunday and Monday, but thankfully missed the rain the west got on Tuesday night. Cows still running out at night (out for a bite and then can come in under their own steam) but if the forecast for Sunday is right, it'll probably put an end to that.

Anyone else having issues with NIFAIS? Originally I was able to access it, but the herd was under the wrong business name, now, for the past 3 days I've been unable to access any herd details at all.

Yes I had bother getting in. Had to delete saved password on Google and enter it in manually. Had to first find where I’d written down log in details🙈what should have taken five minutes took half an hour and a phone call to daera

That still didn't get me in. Apparently I don't have the necessary permissions a week after signing a form to authorise myself. It's something to do with different names on the farm business & herd, so they think!
It certainly doesn't make registering calves easy, and with 2 permits completely incorrectly entered in the last 6 months by Dept staff I don't have much confidence in paper notifications.

When I log in, I'm now getting a "no animal numbers found" warning. I found in the past that posting paper notifications was a lottery, you really need to take them in a ask them to do them then and there.

Try deleting your history first. I had a few issues and found deleting history it allowed me full access on two different occasions. Might not work for your problem but worth a try.

Dairy bred stock rarely sell well at a market. Cull cows especially, p1/p2 cows better going straight to the factory.
Do you always find they are better going to the factory? We usually found the market to be better but the ones we took up last week to the mart would’ve done better at the factory.

If they have flesh they're better off in the factory. Skinny that are still milking I usually take to mart as I've had cows condemned in the past. Not enough energy in their system to stiffen.
