Said it before and I'll say it againSurely with GDT up again today for the fourth time running and a lot of that rise coming from powders there can be no excuse for those left to confirm September price to start thinking about rises? Interesting to see Lakeland go before the event and hold, but now the others have waited, and likely hoped for a decrease that never came, they have to respond to the increase? Unless I've missed it and Tirlan or DF have released the price already?

I read they were moving production to existing factories in China and SwitzerlandI see Nestle have announced the closure of a milk power plant in Co. Limerick. 540 jobs to go so it must process alot of milk, blaming a slowdown in China
Definitely not, corporates look at the cash . I thought infant powder was the future for big bucks , obviously not in IrelandYeah but wouldn't help the milk men in that part of the country
But if stock numbers in the south are going to be reduced surely processing capacity will need reducing too?Definitely not, corporates look at the cash . I thought infant powder was the future for big bucks , obviously not in Ireland
You couldnt blame them for leaving the cost of doing buisness in ireland is silly labour electric im sure the milk is top quality but processing costs are crazy.I read they were moving production to existing factories in China and Switzerland
With the last 4 milk auctions up ud be mad to sign up to that unless it was alot more than your currently gettingThey sent an email out yesterday evening talking the "possibility" of fixed price contracts. Nothing concrete in the email.
When they were able to get extra from the buyers when the market took off , they won't be able to argue against a cut in the 'fixed price " if the market crashes. I don't think there will be much interest no matter what the offer is.With the last 4 milk auctions up ud be mad to sign up to that unless it was alot more than your currently getting
