I have been offered a Polaris 400, probably 6 years old but not done much.
I seem to remember that they were not very reliable and quite heavy for a 400.
Anyone know anything about them as to reliability etc.

If you mean a Polaris ranger 400, I think they’re brilliant. Bought mine new in 2011,
gamekeeper thrashed it senseless and couldn’t kill it after going through Jcb groundhog’s like they were disposable.
Retired it to farm life this year, gave it an engine rebuild and new bushes all round and it’s like new again ready for another 3000hrs hopefully.Quieter than the diesel which replaced it, quicker and much more nimble, albeit lacking in towing capacity and power compared to the diesel.

I have a 2013 Polaris 400. Only does 100 hours a year around out arable farm with a sprayer on the back or a slug applicator. Great little buggy and been very reliable this far albeit only about 850 hours or so on it. Might be changing it soon to go to a slightly bigger Canam which has a bit more space in the cab but still petrol
