Am fed up with Windows....been using an ipad for several years for general browsing and not had any problems..still runs sweet as a nut.
How about the MacBook Air ....hope the link works...

Should have said that I am well into retirement and it will only use for storing and editing photos and bit of goprp editing...pluss the usual run of the mill browsing.

Only 128gig of solid state hard drive. Not a lot for photos really, but it depends on how many gigs of data you want to copy across from your old computer. Personally I would advise for a minimum of 500gig and ideally 1terrabite of hard drive.

Otherwise you won't go wrong with a Mac. I use both W7 and Mac although 95% of my work is now done on a Mac [iMac actually]. Having said that, even today, I actually prefer using W7 believe it or not. I prefer the ordered, logical, filing system.
